The Alliance for Community Media (ACM) represents over 3,000 public, educational, and governmental access organizations and community media centers throughout the United States. Earlier this month, Fall River Community Media received ACM’s top national honor, the Overall Excellence Award, for the second time in the past ten years. FRCMedia also won ACM’s Overall Excellence Award in the Northeast in 2016.
ACM’s national Overall Excellence Award is given each year to one organization in four divisions, with winners chosen based on the quality of their programming and other activities. FRCMedia’s director, Keith Thibault, accepted this year’s award as the Alliance paid homage to its members in Baltimore on July 12.
